@Mame,
Oh- I don't know Mame, you little temptress you.
I reckon Mac dyes his hair and sports the casual style to try to mitigate the overall effect. Hey--that's a good pun. I didn't see it myself at first. It just goes to show that inspiration is not a conscious thing.
I don't think it's a wig. Or a mop.
And those film-star chompers, and Mac can chomp, he's always on about food, look a bit creative.
I wouldn't say he has a double chin but you can make out where one will appear when it does when I have persuaded him, shown him the light so to speak, that taking it easy is good for the mind.
And the shirt. I'll assume it was chosen for what was obviously a prepared pose. Lola wasn't looking at the clock after a big nite with the movers and shakers in Portland. An unprepared pose it wasn't. It's general effect is consistent in that it forces the viewer's attention onto the beautiful Lady on Mac's left around whom he has so patriarchally placed his paw.
Oh-the advert. Flags up a literary gent to all who notice it. And an independent one no less.
Shove your conk over the parapet Mac and if nobody takes shots at you it's because they don't take you seriously.
