Hey Clary

How's it over on the other side of the moors? It's been stunning here today - really warm - 15 minutes outside and I start crisping! Hope all's good in your world Smile

Hey Tarah - pleased to meet you!

I'm fine too. I really am.

Walking home from the pub it struck me that walking in a straight line can be easily achieved by concentrating on walking in a straight line. I tried it and it worked.

When I fell into the ditch it was because I had got bored with concentrating on walking in a straight line and had got concentrating on something else.

The uppity dames reading my last acronym I think it was.

It might have been Aldous Huxley's joke about the "smellies" and pornography causing cinemas to go out of business.

I didn't hurt myself though. You can't hurt yourself tumbling when you're tittering.

Can you not change that avvie fm. You look like you are sentencing some body to death. Justifiably maybe.

When you get an avvie spendi, I then may consider changing mine (to another view of the general)

I might consider it if it only applied to the posts I wanted it to apply to.

But it goes on them all and that would never do.

hmm how to pull that lot together?

Tara some cyclists are very naughty and deserve a good spanking if not imprisonment with a recently extricated drunk from a ditch who looks like an American Civil War general I never heard of. Hope you're using enough sun cream...rain wont touch some brands dot dot dot dash dash dash dot dot dot.

Anyway enough of this serious stuff, how about 200,000 Scots in Manchester? And didn't Zenit play well? 2:0 thoroughly deserved win for the Russkiis.

How many people did Bonnie Prince Charlie bring down in '45? Nowhere near as many I bet. And who were they playing?

Oh you mean Hiram Ulysses S Grant.

A good military man, but a poor president through his tolerance of corruption, apparently.

I think he had a whisky distillery as well. Spendy might know.

A lot better thanks Izz. It was Pentecost last Sunday. I tell people it was excessive kneeling and praying.

Which reminds me

A boy prays for a new bike.
The vicar explains prayer is for forgiveness of sins, not bicycles.
So he steals a bike and asks Jesus to settle the account.

There appears to be a movement gathering pace for the re-construction of Hadrians Wall.

There's Jock ****, piss and spew all over the streets of Manchester and surrounding suburbs.

Vehicles damaged, some beyond repair.

Buses, trains and boats and planes... What an awful mess.

Policemen kicked up and down the streets for nothing.

It's a good job they didn't win, isn't it?

Things would have got really nasty.

It was a movie Mathos you silly moo.

In Tehran or Bangkok that copper on the floor would have been putty. And I saw him interviewed today in a laundered shirt with not a mark on him.

They were obviously pulling their punches.

A couple of hundred extras is nothing compared to Exodus.

They know you need excitement you see and opportunities for outrage freak-outs and virtue demonstrations.

It's the technological age's version of pro-wrestling which even the grannies saw through.

I dont draw any demarcation lines. They were Scot/Brits doing what comes naturally to Brits. They behaved despicably because thats how we behave. Those images were seen globally. No wonder the OMON (motto: we give no mercy and expect none) are preparing to defend Russian capital.

Oh--they won't attack Russian policemen Steve. They'll be as good as gold in Moscow. They would be well advised not to even make eye contact.

One thing yobs should try to remember is that if the trend to yobbism is not stopped their own lives won't be worth living when they are 60.

Alcohol merely brings impulses to the surface. It is the impulses that need addressing. For every drunken yob there are thousands of happy drunks. People who are envious of happy drunks are using this minority to try to get them all down into the same abject state they are in.
