Good Evening Gentleman

Just thought I would drop a line to the British Crowd.

Wishing you all a good morning.

Izzie Smile

Have you any idea of how many ways I have been smiled at in my long career lzzie?

Why don't they have smug smirking emoticons? I remember a tax inspector smiling at me. And lots of aunties.

Hello Spendius.

I am sure you have received many well meaning smiles. However, not knowing what your career is I would not know. I'm sure the aunties loved to smile at you. Don't they all?

However - not wishing to offend I will dispense with the emoticons...

http://img81.imageshack.us/img81/6762/imagesvk3.jpg

and wish you a very pleasant day with a genuine smile from the West Country.

Hope everyone has a good day today - and hope that the sun will shine again soon. It was absolutely miserable here today!

Izzie

Very breezy here, Izzie.
Pleased to make your acquaintance.
West country, eh? Clary lives down your way, sometimes.

I'm going to a music festival today, in the audience only though.

Very Happy

Keep your pecker up, Spendy.

If there was a "pecker up" Emot I might try it for when genuine smiles are beamed in my direction. They are the ones which contain a slight hint of pity.

Nuances don't come into it?

Awwww. You need Smorgie back to cheer you up. She's good like that.

Well played England in Paris, a fine match.

Very good, I just stayed for four vocal groups. My wife is involved with one of them. Very tuneful and entertaining.

If you don't know why football is considered to be the 'beautiful game' you should get a video of the highlight's of today's Premier League matches and watch it with care and attention bearing in mind Francesca's remarks about footballers having the sexual tastes of builders and that the way to dress to ensnare one was as sluttishly as possible and displaying the maximum amount of flesh. The celebrations when a goal is scored should be seen in that light.

Cricket is for intellectuals and thus the opposite of beautiful. Cricket is scientific.

All other games are total wimpyfartieposies.

Izzie--

I think you should know that on the Brit thread we thrive on insults and derisory sarcasms. Flattery is a dead loss. It doesn't mean we don't love each other. It's just that there are no jokes in flattery, unless it is ironic of course, and going around with a stern po-faced mien all day is not good for metabolism.

It might be the American way but we don't rate it.

Just you wait until Mathos comes back from that 5 star hotel in Harrogate with the tales of derring-do in the jungles of Thailand he has been rehearsing.

Who ever heard of a Brit being pleased somebody had had a good time.

It's not in our national character. I hope Mac had a very trying and expensive day out.

Thrive away Mr. Spendius.

Laughing now.... and just so that I stay true to me.... Laughing

I am the new kid on the block here - but I have heard about Mr. Mathos and I very much look forward to making his acquaintance.

I take it that's the Royal "We"?

(Not very good at being sarcastic, am I? Perhaps I should stick with just being me!)

I'm sure it could have been expensive - after all - he lives in Britain!

Good morning to you Mr. Spendius - I sincerely wish you a very good day today - as I will each day.

Mr. Mac - hope you and your wife have a lovely day on Sunday too Smile

(no offense meant - just settling into the British Thread... if thats alright!)

(Oh - football - HA!
Cricket - mmmmmmmmmmmm OK - sorry, stifling a yawn - it's late/early Exclamation
RUGBY - that's the game!)

That's it - settled in now!

Mornin' codgers!

I see the Japanese gay post/spam on the new posts has had 7 hits...

Wonder if they were gay?
Wonder if they were Japanese/gay?
Wonder if they were Japanese bi-curious?

Can't always get on the internet anymore... hence the infrequency of posts.

Muckty, yes, lunch Wednesday? But I must warn you that my gob is still tender after the dentist, so cheese and onion crisps are off the menu.

What, Izzie is not a Brit, then? I find this very confusing.
Where do you hail from, Izzie?
Spendy is wrong, I like flattery, and don't thrive on derision and sarcasm, except where he is concerned.

Smorgs, I went for lunch last Wednesday and it was very lonely. But from you I will accept any excuses.

After the music event yesterday, we had big portions of fish and chips for four, with tomato sauce. The food of the gods.
