Hey Coon. All that talking we did last week about deep frying a turkey got me all fired up. So I went home pulled a 12 pounder out of freezer, bought some peanut oil, got up Sunday morning all primed primed for fried turkey. I looked outside saw we had several inches of snow on the ground and went back to bed. Roasted turkey is almost as good as fried turkey. Guess what I've got for lunch today and tomorrow and...... Looking to buy some turkeys but all i can find is the Narragansett or Blue Slate... I would settle for Black or White or maybe even Bourbon. What i really want though is the Royal Palms.....

I don't know where you would find those varieties, the only time I can find fresh turkey is at the holidays, and I think those are mostly whites. Unless there is someone in your area that raises birds.
