I hear you. I was always a fair weather rider. I used to use the 50/50 rule.
If the temperature was supposed to reach 50 degrees or if there was less than a 50% chance of rain, I'd ride.

I'm a no-rules rider ... get too cold/wet, just stop and warm-up. The bike makes sure I don't ride when it's too cold ... it won't start/run.
