Hey! They're right. That's not a caribu. That's a dog.

Man, I can be so gullible.

Most delicious rabbit stew I've had in a long time, Timber. Thanks. (Who said it looked like crap???)

Say, didn't this start out as a serious thread.

I'm the only sane one here and I think we all know it. At least I know I'm not a duck.

That is certainly not a way to win friends and influence people.

So, for the most part we all enjoy being here, having support from cyber friends, most of whom are considered real life friends, except for those that have to be here for "work."

I'm thinking the job, if real, has something to do with Marlboro, since CDK wouldn't have hired someone with limited language skills.

I mean, for real. Who would come here to "work" and honestly be able to report back to the boss that there's no soliciting of sex or drugs? It happens daily, for gawds sake.

Oh, btw, has anyone seen Bear?

This train is so OFF the track, that there is no getting back. It has served its purpose. Carry on! Very Happy

I feel compassion, not empathy, for two people here, who are so out of reality...

While you people are engaged in this mutual masterbatorium, I went and found the therad in question(I think). Youve got it all blown totally out of proportion. Dys fired the first shot by inserting a snappy zinger and then cj went off (probably not knowing anything about dys personal life). I dont like most of cj's logic and dispute it with him whenever I get a chance. However, I dont know cj, I dont know dys, and those of you that do are making a jewiish bra out of this entire issue.
Cj is often a wise ass, but so is dys. Just because cj did make a comment that could be considered cruel if we all knew the facts behind it, then that would be another issue entirely.
Ive seen where dys had made some really cruel remarks to one of our more Conservative Christian members, nobody got on his back.
I feel that there are no sacred cow members and if someone is cruel (intended or unintended) they should be called on it within the thread, rather tahn later having an "insider" group hug.
When I leave A2k for good , itll be for the very reason that this thread is an example of, I sorta like it that I dont know all of you, It allows me to envision the member who says what, and to appreciate their smarts without all\this entangling personal "smothering", and judgemental crap over who we protect or not.

Until it got ridiculous, this thread was a great example of manipulation. It could have (except for the members who think that everythings about them) served as a "vote for dys" for (insert office here)

Unless Ive had the wrong thread in mind, Im gonna stick with this opinion.

I like that phrase. It has a nice "ring" to it.

Thank you, but like anything else in language, nothing is originl. I clipped that from a statement made by John Steinbeck in his last year. HE spoke at Ciolumbia (I think) and made a rather empassioned speech about how the government ws in the bed with everything we dislike. Imagine, that was in the 60's and he was almost dead. I think I misspelled it but WTH.

Farmerman, I just went back to read the thread in question. I could be wrong (it wouldn't be the first time), but I think something's missing from it.

But that's just me.

Anyone who's been here for a long time has had a good chance of noticing
that cjhsa and I are not best buddies. But I agree in large part with FM's statement here. Very well put- about how people tend to circle wagons to protect "preferred" members, and often make a public show of announcing who belongs "in" or "out".
