The first time I did it.. yeah I got that writting up the top but it was completely black the screen.. I have the 'SASSAR' virus i'm pretty sure.. not sure if it has effected that or not.. i shall try again!
Thanks though!
And man you really have to be quick with that F8!

[edit]
i just rebooted and tried again..
im not sure but it wont go into safemode..
its runs through some files and stops at driver/agp440.sys
maybe its because of the virus or maybe i deleted some files i shouldnt have in system 32 trying to get rid of the stupid virsus. gahhh.. annoying.

press F8 continuously as you reboot. instructions for booting in safe mode are
Here

Alternativly you should follow These instructions from our resident yuckware fighter. they look long and complicated but are in fact reletivly simple and well worth the time and effort.

Not at all uncommon for some systems to have a significant load delay at that point in the boot order - sometimes as much as several minutes. Be patient, go do something else for a while ... odds are the machine will boot into safe mode when it decides to, it just takes a while sometimes.

Another option you might wanna try - go to Start>Run, type (without the quotes) "msconfig", click "OK" or hit <Enter>, and under the "General" tab of the System Configuration Utility control panel, click to select "Diagnostic Startup - load basic devices and services only", click "Apply", click "OK", and reboot. Prolly not necessary to do that, though, since its very highly likely your machine will boot into safe mode if you just give it time when it appears to hang up at loading driver/agp440.sys.

Now - without going into a whole buncha detail, I'm gonna assume you mis-typed "sassar" and actually meant to say you think you might have a SASSER infection (previously discussed Here).

Any of the following may be downloaded either to an infected computer if the machine will connect to the internet, or may be downloaded to removable media (flash drive, Zip Disk, writable CD/DVD, etc) and then be either transfered to the infected machine or run directly from the removable media. They may be run either in safe mode or normal boot - not a bad idea to run both ways, one after the other.

Computer Associates: Cleaning Utility for Win32.Sasser (Sasser/Sasser-related specific)

F-Secure: Sasser Disinfection Tool (Sasser/Sasser-related specific)

McAfee/AVERT: Stinger (Broad spectrum detection & removal tool)

Microsoft: Malicious Software Removal Tool (Broad spectrum detection & removal tool)

Norman: NGenFix (Broad spectrum detection & removal tool)

Sophos: W32/Sasser Disinfection (Sasser/Sasser-related specific)

Symantec: W32.Sasser Removal Tool (Sasser/Sasser-related specific)

Before running any removal tools, be sure to read and understand the instructions for that tool, and of course be careful to follow those instructions exactly and completely.
