When I access MSN I get the message "this page cannot be displayed", but I can access email, Favorites, etc. However, if I want to return to My MSN Home Page, I can't. Clicking on the Home icon does nothing. Sad

Has this happened to any of you? If so, what did you do about it? Will I have to uninstall and reinstall MSN - and if so, how do I save my Favorites and Address Book?

That message is usually transitive. See if it continues before you take action.

I occassionally have the same problem using MSN but it doesn't have anything to do with my software install. I've found the problem is realted to the access number that I connect to. MSN doesn't "own" those numbers. The numbers you dial are provided by other ISPs and MSN "leases" their use for MSN subscribers. (The other ISP's subscribers use the same numbers too!)

Anyway, sometimes when I connect the log-in to MSN is happening at the same time the DHCP request goes out to get the IP address of the Domain Name Server and the DHCP request never gets fufilled so - with no DNS you get lots of "Page Not Found" and "This Page Cannot be Displayed" errors.

When that happens I disconnect and reconnect. If it continues I change the access number I'm using and try another local number. Once I find a good local number I uncheck all the others from the list of numbers to try in MSN Explorer so that I end up using that number all the time.

Well, it seems MSN itself was the problem, but apparently their people have fixed it, thank goodness. Very Happy
