Trying to Understand

Yawning and stretching as I awaken in an unfamiliar place
Wondering to myself how on earth did I get here?
I'm in a field of white flowers looking like white lace
I don't understand as my essence fills with fear.
I walk down a path and get an unexpected surprise
In the distance I see you as you wait
But I watched you take your last breath and die
Thinking you had an unfair fate.

I finally go to a clearing nearer to you
What is this place all covered with marble and stone?
Knowing that you died in the ocean so blue
But here you are beside me, this chills me to very bone.


You come to me and take my hand
Still not believing this is true
You saying to me"We are on a new adventure in this new land"
I really want to wake up from this dream about you.

So real this situation seems
Me in your arms once again
Am I playing some kind of game?
You have passed to a different dimension my friend.
