FS, I'm fine, thanks. Two cute squirrels that are too cute. The husky puppy is beyond cute. I just recovered from a major thud.

Vonny, I reiterate. I'm fine. Wonderful baby primate. Wonderful mother elephant and baby. Wonderful sheep and lamb. The cardinal is a beauty. Elephants and lightning is a stunner.

Barry. Loving the giraffe pic. I'm looking at the barn owl pic, and I'm wondering how the photographer knew at what moment the owl would peer out. Timing is everything.

osso, I'm grateful for your concern. But in a word, huh? I assume you're referring to my saying that I was under the weather. I was. I had a bad stomach upset. I think it was a food allergy. I'm fine now. I don't know what you thought was wrong that would require you to sound authoritative. Frankly, I think we've know each other long enough for you to know that authoritative would not be an effective approach with me, regardless of what you though was wrong. Sorry, I'm rambling. "Authoritative" (1) caught my attention and (2) mystified me. I'll shut up now, except to say that you're a good kid.

Aha, that was it. Snort (I'm actually snorting. Not a word I even like; I think I got it from Piffka, such a baaad influence, and now I use it to denote a kind of laughter, while if someone asked me to snort, I wouldn't know how - but I just did), I can't even imagine being bossily authoritative to you.

meantime, I almost posted a pretty filly winning a race - will go dig it up.

The elderly jockey (snorting again, as he is 50) Gary Stevens rides the filly Beholder for the Breeders Cup Distaff win at my favorite race track, Santa Anita, which is across the street from my favorite arboretum, in Arcadia, California -



I only bet once or twice, literally a couple of dollars, just to experience it. We liked going there, beautiful place. We'd see a few races and then go walk the arboretum where we'd get screeched at by dazzling peacocks. Always wonderful. Then we'd leave before the last race and the followup traffic mess.

The little tigger is 5 months now, thanks, he's a cutie but which means Ruby's been good for a further 3 and a half, and still going, but not for long bless....
