I tend to be crabby about dressed up dogs, though I get it the dogs like it, but not every time I'm not. This one captures my heart.

osso, I'm not crazy about animals in clothes either. But your photo has its appeal. A fan. I'm also not keen on wild animals being kept as pets. A tiger in the kitchen? Everything will be fine until the day that everying ain't fine.

Barry, A raven. Smart and mischievous bird. Can I think of a raven without thinking of Poe? No I can't. Poe lived in the Bronx for a while. I visited Poe cottage--a very small house with very little in the interior. Somebody stuck a stuffed raven on the top of one of the doors. Gimme a break. Ruined my whole visit. Quoth the you-know-who: Nevermore.

Poor Tiny Alien Dog had her annual shots today. Went through four entire string cheeses while patiently allowing the vet to squirt things up her nose, take blood, and poke where things should never be poked. Now she's got a bit of a fever and we're very glad she ate a great dinner beforehand. (Yes, I'm embarrassed to admit it, I cooked her some chicken with mashed up carrots and stock to add to her dry food.) Poor thing. Awful when a critter or a child doesn't feel well.
