I think that parrot in the teacup is a conure, reminds me of mmy dear departed Benjie, whom I had (or he had me) for nearly thirty years. He did love his bath, in anything that held water.

Long-tailed mayflies, palingenia longicauda, mate on the surface of the Tisza river in Hungary. Millions of these mayflies engage in a frantic rush to mate and reproduce before they perish in just a few hours during the Tisza blooming season from late spring to early summer.

@MontereyJack,
I respect the picture only rule, but, we can't get this little gem in without drawings for obvious reasons. I stretch the rules for just one time with interesting explanation of what we are seeing attached:

Parrot dinosaur’ walked upright like humans

A new dinosaur walked like humans.

A new study indicates that Psittacosaurus, commonly known as the ‘Parrot dinosaur,’ crawled around on four legs as a youngster, before standing up on its hind legs as it matured. Psittacosaurus roamed the planet 100 million years ago, during the Cretaceous period, in what is now east Asia.

@ossobuco,
I feel rather sorry for the mayflies - such fragile beauty and such ephemeral lives ...

@hingehead,
So it's a real project? Mouse housing? Seems unlikely. Or all about quips?

@ossobuco,
QI (quite interesting) goes to great pains to get it right, so I'm sure it's real. Just hold your breath while I run off to the inter webs.
