I entered "fluffy animals" in google. This guy is one of the winners, IMO. I think it's an owl.

@Roberta,
The beak doesn't look "right" for an owl. It's probably a White Tailed Tropicbird Chick.

Thanks for the correction, rosborne, and the wonderful baby pics.

I can use as much cute as you're got. No thud warnings are necessary.

@Rockhead,
RH, Is that one of your very own chicks? Too cute. I hope it isn't freezing its feathers off. I saw your weather forcast. Sending warm thoughts in your direction--for all the good it does.

Eddie the sea otter shoots hoops, tryout scheduled with Boston Celtics for him next week. It's hydrotherapy.

@MontereyJack,
MJ, Not so much a hoop shooter as a slam dunker. But good is good. I wish him well with the tryout.

@tsarstepan,
tsar, Yes, I noticed the tenacious. He missed. He tried again and again. Never mind the Celtics. The Knicks can use some help. Are there NBA requirements for species?

Sorry, I don't know what kind of a duck this is, but I like her feather-do.

@Roberta,
Its a Common Merganser cause the rusty head terminates at a white nck band. The redbreasted Merganser female grdually blends the head color into the white.

These are often hunted by duck hunter and I dont condone that because the hunter dont usually eat these because they are kind of "fishy tasting". SO ,tell duck hunters to stop killing the mergansers , they are neat little duckies

Police dog Dongdong sniffs passengers' baggage at Chengdu Railway Station in Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province, Feb. 20, 2013. It is the first time for the 4-year-old female Labrador to be on duty during the Chinese New Year holidays here and she was responsible for sniffing out explosive devices and materials. @Barry The Mod,
Are there any dogs that help Afghan or Iraqi or Laotian, Cambodian, Vietnamese, ... children walk the mine fields safely, Barry? Are there any safeguards that prevent those same children, or their parents from breathing in depleted uranium?

Do all the bomblets scattered over the countries that your government is trying to save have warnings so that little kids don't consider them toys?

Really, what is it that gives you this predilection to post propaganda?

@Barry The Mod,
Thanks for the picture Barry - a beautiful black Labrador Retriever that looks very like, and reminds me of, my beautiful Harvey who died in the New Year.
