@hingehead,
They're quite the predator, those secretary birds. It's clear why they need those long legs in this video.

@Builder,
the simulated violence in that video was pretty funny - very 'Hayes'.

Still haven't been able to find audio...

It looks like a long legged raptor - would have looked great 'Doin'... the eagle rock'

@hingehead,
You can hear a drumming throaty kind of noise, that might be from the bird. Will have to wait for Roberta to have a listen. It does fit a rough description from another site.

@Builder,
I did some googling. The sound I remember must have come from another bird. The descriptions say that secretary birds don't make much noise. Of course, it's possible that they got to the Bronx and really opened up. My mistake.

I remembered that they stomped snakes. Very powerful legs. Does that count?

HH, Is that moonwalking bird trick photography? Doesn't the bird have to move it's feet? Even Michael Jackson had to move his feet.

@Roberta,
It's only trick in that they slowed it down so you could see it - try this one

Who's a wrinkly boy? You're a wrinkly boy! Gabri Zaro greets Pretty Boy, one of the many dogs with relaxed-fit skin at the Chinese Shar-pei Club of America show in Chattanooga, Tenn.

@ossobuco,
Two doozies, osso. Love the look of shar-peis. One dog with skin enough for two. And I've petted shar-peis. Softer than soft. And I say to the butterfly what my grandmother used to say to me, "Ess and enjoy."

@cicerone imposter,
From the photographer, Daniel Dolpire:

Quote:
I took this "once-in-a-lifetime" shot at Klein's Camp in the Serengeti, Tanzania. We came upon these lions at 7:17 in the morning. I scrambled for my two camera bodies (Nikon D4 and D3s and 200mm-400mm and 500mm) and got the shot! Exactly six minutes later the first lion got up and within another five minutes, three were sleeping and the other three had gone off into the bush! I have been taking wildlife photos for over 20 years, but this has got to be my special moment!
