@hingehead,
That eagle owl looks suspiciously familiar. Does he perhaps reside in Transylvania?

@snood,
Strauss, Now there's an equine for ya. I love dem horses. Seeing this picture reminds of my riding days. (No, I never rode a horse like this.) I used to ride (a palomino) through the woods. I felt transported to another time. Sigh and smile.

Izzele, Your pics sometimes take my breath away. Hey, I don't have that much to start with. Stunners again, kid. Thanks for sharing.

HH, The PC made me melt and smile. The dawg made me laugh. Those chihuahuas (sp?) are forces to be reckoned with. Small but with don't-mess-with-me attitudes. Thanks.

Snood, Smiling again. And I know exactly how you feel. I'm glad this thread moves you. Thanks for saying so.

@hingehead,
HH, They're cute now, but badgers make me noivous. Relentless. I'm thinking maybe the only animal more relentless is one of these.

Corumba, Brazil: a jaguar named Brutos eats in a lake at the NEX sanctuary for felines, 50 miles north of Brasilia. No Extinction, a non-governmental organisation created to defend and preserve the life of endangered wild cats, currently houses around 26 big cats, most coming from the Amazon.

Students of the Amazon University measure a pale-throated sloth (Bradypus tridactylus), a species of three-toed sloth that inhabits tropical rainforests in northern South America, at the Sauim Castanheira Wildlife Refuge in Manaus. The refuge takes in wild animals which are found injured or lost to treat them until recovery, a task they say has grown in importance as the city of Manaus, with 3.4 million inhabitants, expands and encroaches on the surrounding jungle.
