@Roberta,
Boobies aren't into pastels, are they?

@djjd62,
dj, I like the one ear up one ear down look. Very cute wabbit. I especially like the expression on the face of the otter in the foreground.

HH, I checked out boobies. Only two have outstanding feet colors. The rest are just boids.

@hingehead,
HH, I'm wondering. If a red-footed booby and a blue-footed booby mate, do the kids have purple feet? (I think I gotta get out more.)

That is an outstanding wolf picture. Stunning and quiet. I don't know what that sea creature is, but it's a doozy. That kitten has a very purposeful look. I like that. The sleeping kittens make me feel i little lightheaded. Don't worry. I'll be fine. Is that last picture a possum?

Don't mess with the mrs.

Gotta agree with Boida. That little kitten bounding thru the grass had one of the most determined looks on its face I've ever seen. Bet dreams of bing a lion chasing zebras on the veldt were going thru its mind as it ran.

I'd like to see them have one red, one blue.

@hingehead,
You may be right about the baboon. I think there's an opposable thumb in there. Definitely not a happy camper, whatever it is.

Young gharials. These get very big, but they're harmless to humans. They're fish eaters.

@Roberta,
They're so funny. They remind me of some of the alpaca photos I put up on this thread a few years ago - just in affect, all the alpacas gathering to stare at the humans.

Isn't that funny - I thought it was either yawning or ROFL - the exposed belly made me think it was very comfortable..

@hingehead,
osso, We don't know what those mongooses are looking at. But I do remember the alpacas. They were looking at us, and we were looking at them.

HH, I think you're right again. I'm doing too much anthropomorphizing. The body language is definitely relaxed. Thanks, kid.

@Roberta,
Beautiful jellyfish photo.

I thought the whatsit was yawning too.

On the jellyfish (I see it's from the monterey aq), I think of that as my likely next Google screen.

I didn't see the alpaca pic, but those American camelids seem to be big on staring. I've had a couple of their cousins--llamas--walk over and stare at me--I think they think humans are faintly ludicrous and like to look at us to see what silly thing we're going to do next. Thing is, they've got those long necks so their eyes are right about at human eye level, and it's a little disconcerting to have those two brown eyes staring straight into yours from about two feet away.

@MontereyJack,
Ok, I found them - these are two pics, both flawed, but my favorites of the batch.

Alpacas in the shade:

Overexposed alpacas:

My business partner and I sometimes stopped on our way back to our town after a site visit to the south, to see these guys, or girls as may be. It was right by the Humboldt Bird Sanctuary. Ranch owned by my dermatologist, I later learned.

This is proof - alpacas, at least when visited, probably lower blood pressure, stimulate grins, cause giddiness - I presume they make LDL cholesterol dive.

@MontereyJack,
MJ, Staring is better than spitting. A llaman once spit at me. Missed, but still not nice. I think these animals have wonderful faces with those big brown eyes.

osso. Glad you found the pic. I love it. Yes, they're looking right at us.
