Irish, The turtle photo is spectacular. A treasure. How did the photographer click the camera at exactly the right moment? Wow! And ow ooh ooh ow. It hurts me just to look at this picture. Poor pud.

dj, Baby robins. Waiting for an update. Of course you'll be gone when all the interesting stuff happens--like feathers. Wonderful to see this. Is the nest on the ground?

tsar, Such beautiful wondrous felines. Avec and sans spots. Not sure I'd consider a 14-month old cat a kitten, but what do I know. Bee-yoo-tee-ful.

We've got a black leopard. How about a black jaguar--of the feline variety:

@Irishk,
Irish, Pheasants are amazing in their colors. Not a dull one in the bunch. Males, that is. The goils are fairly dull looking. The guys don't seem to mind.

@Irishk,
Sometimes I cower at the newpaper's commentary, and I leave off the cornier bits. I'll probably reduce the commentary one of these days and try to just give data..
but in this case, I liked the stylist quote.

@ossobuco,
Most of the photos I share here have captions (and a lot of them are taken by amateur photographers). I usually like reading about how the photo came about...what was going on before and after...details and circumstances of the subject and the area. Some, of course, are pithier than others...some, like the bobcat on the cactus, just scream for a caption, IMO. I've learned so much on this thread...it's always my first A2K view of the day.
