They're no longer classified as "animals"!

Following the completion of their DNA sequencing they're officially "upgraded" to closer relatives. I think Chimpy is now known as "homo troglodytes".

G'night

Oh I am happy to see you! I really missed your g'nights. Glad you are back.

Everyone I am sorry I have been absent but I was planning JJ's birthday party. The pictures posted are so beautiful. That horse!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Either that is one short woman or that is one big draft horse.

MJ that Maru is a real hoot. I love his videos. Have you ever seen Jupiter the talking Cat on Youtube? You will love it. My favorite is the one about his owner getting the new fish.

High Seas, talking about chimps says

Remember those old "Separated at Birth" comparisons of unlikely pairs of people in similar poses they used to run in newspapers and books?

@MontereyJack,
You don't know the half of it - Kyoto University's Prof. Tetsuro Matsuzawa claims "his" chimps can do mathematical computations faster than his students:

This is a picture I took of a one day old, pure white donkey in Ireland. Apparently, they are not too common.

dj, Excellent B&O. They never fail. The lambs are beautiful. So is the swan. Looking forward to your pics of swans.

High Seas. I know that chimps have been reclassified. However, I consider humans animals. So chimps gotta fall into that category too. Thanks for all the info. I'm not surprised at their intelligence. I'm sure that even a not-too-bright chimp is better than me in math.

hingehead, I love okapis too. You posted some great pics of them. They're not always easy to find. Thanks.

Ceili, That donkey is beyond wonderful. What a rare sight. Thanks mucho.

firefly, Love dem boids. That's a great picture of owls. Great faces. Thanks, kid.
