The photo of the patas monkey keeps disappearing (at least it's not visible on my computer). I'm replacing it with another photo--same kind of monkey.

I love how the Agama lizard looks like he was dipped in a vat of blue dye.

I think this is a Risso's dolphin (?). I was looking for Spinning Dolphins and found this instead.

Ah, the delfin!

That tamarin is surely an elegant fellow..

and the replacement monkey looks like a rock star. Or maybe a recent cooking author I've been reading..

Thanks, Jes, for the action photo. Not sure I've heard of a Risso dolphin. I take your word for it. Yes, I agree. The lizard looks like someone dipped it partway in blue paint.

Osso, Glad you think the tamarin looks elegant. Some of those mustaches can get a bit messy looking. Had a time finding something that looked presentable. You think the patas looks like a rockstar or a cooking author? Anyone I know?

BTW, when I was looking for photos of bushbabies, I couldn't avoid the prez with an infant in tow.

Robbie, John Thorne, fabulous cook, whose book, Pot on the Fire, started out irritating me and then winning my heart. Here's his website -

Thanks for the link, osso. Went to the site. I can see the resemblance. Also kinda interested in his approach. Basic and imaginative. I like that.

Smooth Green Snake.
These supposedly live in New England, but I've never seen one.

Jes, Thanks for the pigeon, an animal I can actually relate to, having seen more than one in the flesh. I'm a pigeon fan.

Rosborne, beautiful snake. Googled this guy. Found where it says they range from southern New England south to Florida and west to the Great Lakes area.

Another city boid--a grackle:

Rosborne, Speaking of New England fauna, I saw one of these (gray seal) when I was sailing off the coast of Maine. That guy was moving!
