Izzie, Smiling big time to see the cats in the box. Reminded me of my three late lamenteds. Nothing was better than a new box. Stunning pic of the leopard.

Arella Mae, The whole point of the zebra pattern is to make you a little dizzy. It's purpose is to present an optical illusion. Where does one zebra end and the next one begin. It's very hard for predators to pick one out of a herd.

I am learning so much from this thread. I never thought about that! Isn't it amazing?

@Arella Mae,
Amazing? Yes. I think it is. To our western human eyes, we might wonder why an animal would have such a startling and conspicuous coloration. But put them together in a herd, and you've got a gigantic moving sea of black and white. Yes, it amazes me.

Many large animals benefit from smaller ones. In these two pics, the birds get food and the buffalo and rhino get relief.

Kevin Richardson, also known as the Lion Whisperer, plays with two of his lions in their enclosure at the Kingdom of the White Lion park in Broederstroom, near Johannesburg South Africa......A new film, White Lion, is about a rare white lion, who as a cub is cast out of his pride because of his colour. He is near starvation when he befriends an older lion who teaches him the ways of the wild. Richardson, the movie's producer, first befriended a pair of lion cubs at the Lion Park outside Johannesburg 12 years ago, when the cubs were 6 months and he was 23. He began shortening his hours as a therapist in postoperative rehabilitation to play with his new friends. Soon, park owner Rodney Fuhr offered him a part-time job which became full time...

Littlek may be right. Enjoy yourself while you can, Kevin. Gorgeous big lion.

The biggest of all the felines--the Siberian tiger. Beautiful PCs.
