They're still in their awkward Muppet period: It takes a long time for Arctic owlets to grow into the "wise old owl" stage. (Hanover Zoo, Germany.)

@ossobuco,
Osso, Amazing photos. I love dat leopard baby.

Yes, the birds were mine. I noticed that I misspelled Melvyn's name in the first pic. Shame on me. He was a character. The picture was taken when I still lived in the Bronx--not in the big apartment. The one before that.

@Roberta,
All the photo's are priceless.

Roberta, Mikey is precious. Okay, I searched the web for this photo. It's a Tibetan Mastiff and I see I have permission to do so. Some woman in Tibet payed $600,000 for one like it.

Sorry that I stretched the screen

@Letty,
Letty, Glad you like Mikey. When he heard the shredder, he came running.

I've seen Tibetan mastiffs before, but this one is spectacular. Still, six hundred thousand dollars for a dog??!! Holy moley.

Miranda loved to be high up. She would sit onthe floor in front of this closet door and yowl until I helped her up to the top. Patty liked to do whatever Miranda did. She managed to get to the top of the bookcase on her own.

Mikey liked to be in high places too. However, he didn't think he needed human assistance. He just tried climbing up my clothes in the closet (don't ask).

They're all wonderful photos. Mikey reminds me of the cat we rescued when our neighbor left him alone. My husband named him Spot. Smile

Ah, Kris, so long ago I gave Roberta a Malay Gibbon for her birthday.

Talking a chance again. Greyfriars Bobby (skye terrier)

Put him on edgar's songs that tell stories.

Letty, What a wonderful face on that dog. Is it a skye terrier? I have my doubts. Most skye terriers have very prominent ears. However, in my investigation, I found a kind of skye terrier called the drop-eared skye. No prominent ears. But I couldn't find a picture. Fact is, I don't care what kind of terrier that is. It's got a great face and fits the song. What more could you want?

osso, Glad you liked Mikey and the shredded paper. Amusing in photos. Less so when you're shredding and a gigantic cat is dangerously close to the shredder.
