@Roberta,
Oh so cute. Donkeys are adorable, especially those little babies. They are such smart animals! I do have a preference for mules though. I guess because they are half horse (and I do have one, gotta be a bit prejudice LOL) they have more defined features. This gives me the opportunity to throw in a picture of my thirteen old week mule, Joy's Jewel aka JJ. I may not have been thrilled at first when I learned my horse had a mule but I have come to understand their value in many ways. This little guy has brought so much joy into my life. Recently, he gave his second (that I heard) try at heehawing. This time, he sounded like a taradactyl! I think I spelled that correctly?

To all that thave been posting the sea creatures. Amazing pictures that really just make you stop and stare!

All the donkey pics are adorable and congrats arella mae to the birth of your mule. I guess I never thought a horse could have a mule. I thought a mule came from a mule.

Arella Mae, JJ is a stunner. Thanks for posting his picture.

Philis, The ONLY way to get a mule is to mate a horse and donkey.

@rosborne979,
I really do not like insects but what fascinating pictures. The intricacies are astounding to me.

Rosborne, Thanks for those wonderful pics. The lacewing is a beauty.

Letty, Love that little fox. His ears are like a built-in air conditioner. They help keep him cool.

Arella Mae, It was through this thread that I found some amazing beauty in the insect world. Here's one of my favorites, an orchid mantis:

he's gone outside now - very large container, cardboard under, tip over, throw outside and let it fly, let it fly, let it fly

I have seen this bug in my yard hunting and killing wasps. It is a wasp killer. It is bigger than a wasp also. Have you ever seen this insect?

Roberta, a stunning orchid mantis, I never knew of this insect.

Izzie, That is one nasty looking bug. Glad it's out of the house.

Philis, Thanks for giving us a look at the wasp killer. No, I've never seen such a thing before. I live in NYC. I rarely see any wildlife--insect or other.

TTL: Thanks for the beautiful photo of the duck.

For the pink lovers, here's moth. Sorry I don't know what kind.
