Would love to see a picture of that!

Tai, here's hoping you get to watch the babies grow.

I think the "that" you are talking about is a malamute. Here's a biggie:

@Bella Dea,
The black panther has always been my very favorite of the cats and close to my favorite of any animal. Gorgeous picture.

@Roberta,
Oh my talk about taking your breath away! The Arabians have the most beautiful chieseled features in their face and look at those eyes! What a gorgeous, gorgeous horse! Surely that is a mare? That horse looks female just from the face. I know that sounds silly but it does. What a marvelous creature.

This is a picture of the horse I just bought my husband for his birthday/our anniversary. Buck is a 12-year old Arabian and he is beautiful but my, oh my Roberta, that picture is absolutely breathtakingly stunning!

@Bella Dea,
Just for you Bella. This is a Frescian horse. This has to be the most beautiful black horse I have ever seen. His name is Apollo

@Roberta,
Put a saddle on that dog! LOL My goodness, he's a big one and so beautiful. Um, I was going to show my husband that picture of the Arabian horse but it's gone! What happened?

Thanx for the answers about the mommas not feeding their babies. Part of nature I don't care much for.

@Arella Mae,
Arella Mae, You've confused me mightily. I don't know what photos you're referring to unless you're going far back. Black panther? Arabian? I'm confused.

On the other hand, I'm not at all confused by the gorgeous horse you bought your husband. He's a beauty. And the friesians. To die for. I love to see them moving. Here's one. BTW, it was littlek who introduced me to these magnificent animals way back in the thread.

@Roberta,
I am sorry for the confusion MissRoberta. I must have unknowingly clicked on pages way back and did not even realize it. I am glad I did though because I saw some gorgeous pics! I'll go back and look for that Arabian. It was a hauntingly beautiful picture and I want my husband to see it. The black Arabian you posted is oh so, so beautiful. The Frescians are a Scandanavian horse I do believe. I would love to have one. But, I'd love to have one of any kind. Here is one I would definitely love to own. It's called an American Gypsy:

Arella Mae, I took a tour through the back posts to see if I could find the horse you were referring to. Is this it?

@Roberta,
No but that one is gorgeous too! It's one that is facing the opposite direction of this dapple grey and is a deep brownish/red with some white socks. It has the most amazing eyes and is the shiniest thing I think I have ever seen. It had some name like Ted or smething in large text at the bottom right. I'm going to do some looking here in a bit since I'm home from work. Horses are such beautiful creatures. So many different kinds and colors! It was very kind of you to try to find it for me. Thank you so much.

This is a short vid taken with my phone of the sea lions on Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco. It's so cool how they choose to congregate en masse in such close proximity to all the tourists...

@snood,
Could it be possible in the past there was a beach once where this wharf stands now and the seals congregated at the beach. That would be one reason they sleep on this wharf.

BEAUTIFUL and EXOTIC American Gypsy. I love that name for the breed. I'll bet that horse knows how beautiful he is. Very Happy

@snood,
I haven't seen sea lions near sf, myself, though elsewhere. Were you in SF recently?

@snood,
Gram has a picture of me with the sea lions in the background from the wharf.

Used to make it to Alioto's 4 or 5 times a year back then.

The guy driving the boat to Alcatraz said they were protected and seemed permanently attached to the bay. there was a bunch of them there. kinda cool...

Snood, Good to see you here, and thanks for the video. I don't remember seeing that many sea lions when I was at Fisherman's Wharf. I guess they've been busy.

I did see a seal swimming when I was sailing in Maine. It swam a lot faster than the boat sailed.

Arella Mae, I'm glad the mystery is resolved. Great-looking animals on the first page, including the horse and the panther.

Yep, Osso. Had the excuse of going to a highschool graduation, and stayed 3 extra days just seeing the sights. I loved it there.
