@tsarstepan,
I agree about the beastie with the spritely horns.

I'm trying to figure out what's going on in the tiger picture. Is he cleaning his head?

@msolga,
That kite looks lovely.

Except to a prey animal.

@dlowan,
Yes, it looks far too nice to be a bird of prey, doesn't it? Such an innocent face! Wink

@msolga,
Animals kill innocently.

I recall reading Konrad Lorenz's "On Aggression", and realising, as he said it, that, unless fearful of being hurt by their prey, animals kill with an intent, not aggressive, face.

Ya know, we forget how lucky we are with all these lovely highly detailed photographs of animals.

@dlowan,
Not about things like the expression on an animal's face as it kills it's prey .. no.

I agree with Deb. Animals don't kill with meanness, viciousness, or for fun. They kill to eat or to protect themselves or their young. Sometimes they kill to estaablish dominance. But all of it is innocent and instinctive. (Sorry to carry on, olga. You hit a nerve with me.)

Deb, In utero wonderfulness. Thanks.

tsar, Badgers are a handful--big ones and little ones.

@Roberta,
Deb, I love Konrad Lorenz, and those unborn animals were lovely.

Let's not forget the groundhog. Tomorrow is its day.
