@Builder,
These look like very powerful dogs. Do you know what kind they are?

Roberta, they're a kind of Mastif. Come in several colours, including blue.

They live a great life on acreage near Mareeba, and have a section of river to play in, to cool down.

My friend has several of them, and breeds them for people around the world.

@Builder,
Although I'm a dog lover in general, I admit to a partiality to big dogs. Those are on my list. Wow.

Is that a Mandarin duck? Sorry, my computer is misbehaving. I'd rather not try to look it up and get frozen out.

I just checked with the friend, and they are called Bandogs, which is a breed of Mastiff.

This is Ronnie on his 2nd birthday.

@Builder,
Never heard of bandogs, and I don't think I've ever seen one wandering around the Big Apple. If I had, I'd probably remember.

Please tell your friend to tell Ronnie I wish him a happy birthday.

@Roberta,
South African breed of pitbulls, apparently.

Bandog Boerboel Pitbulls.

There's American breeds as well, but not common.

Yes, Roberta, that is a male Mandarin duck. They have the most exquisite plumage.

@Roberta,
To the right of, and touching the large white rock. It's much bigger than you are probably expecting.
