Yeah, I love my laptop, too. Will never go back. They get lighter and thinner, with greater capacity. I have wireless, so I can be online whenever/wherever. Battery lasts 3 hours, I usually don't need to be unplugged from electricity for longer than that - but it's great for when I want to work in a cafe (with internet connection, of course). I have the USB pen to backup files, no clunky CDs or diskettes. I prefer the touchpad, too, though I hear most people don't. I'm a convert for good, though next conversion will be from IBM to a Mac. They just seem to have better stuff.

Fortunately I no longer use desktops... at home I have an HP pavilion with a 15.4" screen & built in 11g wireless...I like to be able to move around while working. At my office I just switched from a desktop to a nice Dell (oxymoron) notebook, but I have a flat 19" CRT monitor on hand for a bit of graphics work... like Craven, I find working with colors on LCDs just sucks!
