A problem I see is that these four fundamental forces are explained by two different sets of theories, and the two are not completely compatible.

Gravity is explained in a completely different scale than the other three. Conventional physics explain gravity on a human level. I don't know what else to call it, because the science that explains it has grown to accomodate our senses (or extensions thereof in the form of microscopes, telescopes and so on).
Weak and strong nuclear force and electromagnetism are explained by quantum mechanics, and this operates on the level of atoms and smaller.
Now, as far as I know, only conventional science implies that there must be a beginning. I do not think it is required in QM.
I know that the dualistic notion of 'here and there' is meaningless in the world QM reveals. This may also be true for the dualistic notion of beginning and end.
