Creative MuVo V100

Is anyone familiar with this device? I've got it functioning to the point where it plays the preinstalled music, but can't figure out how to skip stuff and get to what I want to hear, specifically, a book I've just downloaded from our local library audio download ecollection.

There is a scroller, but it doesn't seem to do much of anything; once or twice a trio of icons has appeared in the display (though I can't recall them at will, they just appear by chance apparently) and one of them seems to indicate skipping a selection, but no information is available in the (ha-ha) "manual" as to how this is done.

Creative's instruction booklets/manuals haven't got the highest rating, and it's quite clear why. However, there must be some way to bypass a couple of hours of rock and go straight to the book.

I'd also like to know if it's possible to bookmark stuff.
