I grew up near Donner Pass, so I know the deal.
I'm still jealous.
Patiodog, speaking of Wisconsin, a particular vignette in the book I am currently reading takes place on Lake Monona. I figured you and sozobe might be familiar with the lake, and possibly Occom Bill, but the rest of A2K is probably in the dark on this one.
It was quite entertaining, that particular vignette. Quite entertaining indeed.
And there was even a dog involved.
And forgive me for capitalizing your name. I know of the disdain you carry toward such errors.
Only lake I know in Wisconsin is Lake Tomahawk (ooowwweee, bloodsuckers...)
There are plenty of bloodsuckers in this book, osso.
The bloodsuckers play an integral role in the events which take place in The Epic Lone-Wolf Trout of Council Creek.
My favorite chapter so far. Friggin laugh out loud funny.
Drove along Lake Monona this morning. It's about half a mile from my house, so I don't see it very often.
You see what you look for.
You all right, gus? You're rambling.
Does that place me out of character?
I was talking to the dog.
I understand your irritation, osso.
Let's just get out of here, osso. Obviously we are not refined enough for these "cultured folk".
