The rain coming down in torrents and sheets
The rumbling thunder, lightning as sharp as a knife
Because of this I go to bed under my cool crisp sheets
This kind of sets the tempo of making you fear for your life,
I think I locked everything before I retired for the night
Little did I know in a while I would really have to fear for my life,
When the lightning flashes it is so intense and bright
I see the out line of everything nothing to cause me any strife.
I never heard the door because it silently opened
As I was about to drift to the land of restfulness
Thinking my eyes were deceiving me
The outline of a man in the middle of the illuminating lightning's nest,
He gracefully walks toward me as gliding on air
So tall and thin his outline looked illuminated by the lightning
Gasping, as he bends over me to glare
Holding my breath as he stares.
Hoping I can wish him away
He leans down closer crazily leering at me
The lightning illuminates something shiny the handle looked gray
The intense pain, the cold fluid I feel someone hear my plea.
