This is a topic from Emerson. He is insanely intelligent and I need help in answering this question. I will be in a debate in a few days and I have most of my information but I need a little more help!

Despite the original author, this brings to mind something related to parenting in my book.
It seems to connect with the old idea that the more you keep your child in a plastic bubble, so to speak, the more they will be compelled to rebel when given the opportunity.
I've seen this to be true, witnessing first hand teenagers who are given more freedoms and seem to abuse them less.
Could this be applicable to governement?
If so, do we have any modern examples?
Should I re-post this as a new thread altogether?
