Copying DVD with Subtitles

I have a foreign movie DVD which I watch by turning on the English subtitles (other language sub-titles are also available). I'd like to save the DVD to my HD as an AVI or MPEG file but be able to see it with the English language subtitles automatically appearing. Is there any good conversion software out there to do that?
