Hiya, I'm working on a project that requires very detailed information about life (France, England) during the 16th century. I'd really appreciate if anyone could help me find some kind of source for this!

Thanks!

I'm a little puzzeld, though, that you look for a certain time period and as well for a style (and period) which started more than 100 years later.

But those mentioned sites will give you enough help, I suppose.

I don't want to come over all old-fashioned, but what happened to books, you know those paper things you see in 'libraries'?

Cuts in taxes and budgets to pay for them.

For example, the library within walking distance of me has had to cut back hours to 4 days a week, 6 hours a day and quite a few of the books have been water damaged from floods the past few years or have had such readership that the spines are breaking and no repairs are being made.

Does two subject have to have something to do with each other? They're not connected, I was looking for two different subjects. But I see what you mean, sorry if I was being unclear!

Anyway, thanks again, all of you! Helped alot! Although, I was thinking a bit further into history, like in the middle of the 16th century, 1650 and forward or so. But I guess that would count as the 17th, right? Not too familiar with this, I'm sorry!

Hey Eirene, I noticed in another thread on plagerism, you mentioned you're from Sweden. Was wondering if you might be able to answer someone's question about pronounciation and Norse mythology since you're in the general neighborhood. Here's a link to that thread:

1650 = past Thirty Years War = a totally different Europe than in 16th century.

Hi Eirene, just to clarify the confusion re. dates, the 16th Century covers the 1500's.......17th covers the 1600's, and so on.

Well, sorry then... I'm no expert. That's why I am here, asking for help...

Thank you Lord Ellpus, that was what I suspected. Thanks!
