I was suppose to meet up with these guys the same place that night. There was no way. My spouse was pretty Evil or Very Mad So, the next night I went and meet the guys at the same lounge, different night Laughing Laughing We closed that place down. Actually the cruise's staff for activities video taped parts of it. We actually created quite an audience. I think I got a whole 2 hours of sleep that night. So, the part of swimming with the stingrays never happened because I was too tired. Not much of a choice to me - swim with the stingrays or dance and sing around a piano with a great group of guys.

Is there something in particular you would like to hear. The best island was Montego Bay. I could tell you something really stupid I did if you want. I tend to do stupid things once in a while Laughing Laughing

Fluoz,
I am sorry to hear that. That is really a shame about the CE problem. I would have responded earlier, but I just read what you wrote. I probably missed you for the day. The cruise was nice. I really do not know what to say. It was for the most part good. I almost always look for the positive and seem to make others laugh. I think I accomplished this on the cruise. If there is something specific you want to hear about just ask. I am not trying to be difficult it is just I do not know what you want to hear about. I would hate to bore you.

Hey fluoz,
You still out there somewhere? Anywhere? If I can fight the CE anyone can Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes. Before you ask I took my picture off for a reason. The reason being that a certain someone let me know they are trying to find me and I do not want them to so why make it easy you know. Twisted Evil Laughing Laughing

Hi bigred,
I am not sure what it is you want to know about the cruise.

The islands were beautiful, but you are in the tourist section so to really see the country you have to venture out of those areas and it is not the most safe thing to do unless you go on a package deal. So, you have the beauty on one hand and the sorrow of the poverty that exists outside those boundaries.

They (the cruise line, government, hotels, etc.) always tend to make the tourist sections as safe as possible and it is stated in writing that if you choose to go outside that boundary on your own you have to keep in mind the country you are in, the laws are different and I found it very interesting that they could not stress enough that if you even try to buy drugs (which I would not dare do) in Jamaica and bring it on the ship, the US is not going to help you and the cruise line will also not help you.

I cannot tell you enough how many times it was offered right in daylight in the tourist area. What I find interesting about that is how much they stressed this for Jamaica, but not Mexico, where they did the same thing. I guess I live and learn. Apparently it is quite prevalent in Jamaica. I found it just as prevalent in Mexico too when it is done right out in the open even in front of the police. It does make one wonder.

I saw someone buy drugs in broad daylight in Mexico right in front of the police so one of the conclusions that comes to mind is corruption on the part of the police. I do not like to be around that or put myself in what I feel to be an unsafe position.

The ones I were with tend to think they are invincible and I have actually went outside the boundaries. It make me feel very uncomfortable though.

As far as the beaches, I have never seen such beauful beaches. Compared to the Pacific side the Caribbean water seems to have a much more brilliant blue color to it.

On a lighter note, having a balcony on the ship is great especially when you get the chance to see some of the more spectacular sunsets you could imagine. The warmth of the area (temp.) was just perfect, around mid 80's and the water is so warm, almost like bath water. The fish swim all around you. It is definitely a different world.
The ship itself is 3 football fields in length (that is what I tend to see is the average) and this one had 16 decks. Not all decks are accessible to the passengers though. I counted 13 that were. That is a heck of a lot of walking.
The onboard activities are fun when you choose to participate and they have a variety.
The shows they put on always amaze me in how good they are. I like the shows on the ships better then the ones I have seen in Vegas.
