The heater is fixed!! woohoo! Somehow the thing got overpressurized.
had to shut off the main supply and drain the expansion tank and then with the heater running I was told to check the pressure. said I can't the needle was past where it was supposed to be. so the needle needed a little push back to 0 and we were back in buisness! The relief valve is set to open at 30 psi. The system only needs 18 to 22 psi to function. So we set it at 22. and so far so good, I finished bleeding the radiators and reckecked the system. All is good and thank god for friends!! :wink:

Red glad to hear ya got that heater fixed ....Those damn things always have away with breaking down in the winter ...just in case ya never noticed
