No, the phone started ringing the minute I walked in. The S.O.B.'s didn't even give me a chance to get my coffee. But the fires are out, the coffee is ready and all is well with the world. (for now anyways)

How are you today Ox?

I'm feeling great. Funny how I usually feel that way on Fridays. Did you notice Toots didn't make a morning call? Hope she's OK!

And here's a shout-out ot Angel ... sorry I missed you last nite. Hope you join in this morning. Very Happy

Yeah, Fridays seem to have that effect on people. Toots is either shoveling the snow out of the driveway so hubby can get home, or she's booking more cleaning jobs. I think she must be related to the energizer rabbit, she keeps going and going and......

I saw that Angel popped in last night and Red was up before the chickens.

Us old guys get into our routines and we're pretty dependable. Laughing The young folks like Toots, Angel and Red will join us someday.

After doing the same things for 30 or so years it's hard not to fall into a routine. I like to try to get to the office 20 or 30 minutes early, get my coffee and plan out my day before the troops come in and the phone starts ringing.

I get here about an hour before the others ... make the coffee and get a headstart on the day before the rest show up. They spend a lot of time BS'ing. Right now there are two of them in a "Non-work" conversation that has been going on for over 15 minutes ... discussion on citizenship!

I also get to go home about an hour earlier than all of them, too! Very Happy

I'm pretty lucky, I've got two good guys working for me. They don't BS alot, they know what our deadlines are and do whatever it takes to get the job done. After stareing at a computer screen and drawings for a couple of hours they'll take a short break but they don't take advantage or waste alot of time.

That do-able when the work is steady ... here it's feast or famine. We react to worldwide requirements.

Hey ... you and Red are nearly neighbors (he's just NW of Philly). You going to the fishing tournament? Wish I was closer! Confused

I guess it would be about 2 to 2 1/2 hours depending where Red is located. I'd like to take my grandsons but I think that they're still a little young and would probably get bored quickly, or at least the younger would.

I'm a fishin' NUT! Especially the trout and salmonids. I try to make a trip to Alaska about every 3~4 years, but it's getting tougher and tougher. Was last there in 2003 and planned to go last summer, but job issues kept me home. I may start planning a trip there this summer, but I'll have to deconflict my trip to the Ranch!

I used to fish with my kids when they were younger, we had a cottage on a small lake up in NY. I haven't had a chance to go with my grandson yet, my son-in-law has taken them a few times and he says they really have a lot of fun but Sammy (he's four) loses interest after about a half hour.

I'm sure you could arrange a fishing trip while you're at the ranch.
