Just catching up and came to this. Hey toot toot. Sorry about your dog. Aspirin, yes, in a very very small dose. I know vets usually prescribe remadyl (sp) for pain. Just make sure you run your entire hand gently up the leg to make sure you do not feel a break anywhere (also check the joint at the hip to make sure that is in place). If all feels okay then it could be a torn muscle, ligament or a small fracture (all painful, but recoverable). If it is one of these it takes a while, but you should see improvement everyday. If in doubt though call your vet and talk to her/him, not the receptionist, but the vet themself. Even though I am not here everyday I have been trying to keep up. Hope the best for your dog (poor guy). I hate to see an animal in pain. Keep us informed okay?
