Hi kids, lets see my dream job would be writing life stories of war heroes. WW1, WWII and Vietnam. I dont know why but those stories touch me. They risk thier lives for us and go through hell so we are free and all that stuff, I dont think that the sacrifice they made should be just another name that only those close to them remember. I think that we all need to know the extream conditions those guys went through and all they endured for us.
Well either that or a judge in a gay guy pagent. "sorry to say it but there are way more hot gay guys than straight guys" LOL

Angel you sure know how to stir the S***Pot! Got the HBO series "Band of Brothers" on DVD for Christmas. If you haven't seen it, you have to based on your interests stated above. Details the lives of "Easy Company, 506th Regiment, 101st Airborne Division" during WWII. You'll bawl before the end! Crying or Very sad

That is an excellent series Ox. They've been running it on either A&E or the History channel for the last few weekends.

Angel ... Band of Brothers is a 6 dvd set. It's in 10 parts on the first five discs (two per disc) and you'll want to watch in sequence. The last disc is interviews with the actual surviving members of Easy Company. Best I've ever seen in this genre!

You could probably get it through your public library if they lend out DVD's.

This might be kinda long but I know a guy who was a vietnam vet. He sat me down when I was in jr high "my history grades werent the best" He told me why I need to remember the past. Things he went through. One example and sorry if it is gross but he was in vietnam and they had a little metal bucket they had to eat out of....they also had to sh!t and p!ss in it too. to keep the enemy from knowing that they were there. He also said he was forced to shoot a kid carrying a little tattered bag. They didnt know if the kids was carrying a bomb or not, then come to find out the kid had nothing but an old torn up book in the bag.I think that kind of thing needs to be known, all of the crap that they did to stay alive. I have to admit I wanted to learn more ever since then.

Angel I'm sure this was interesting and believable in Jr High, but most of them just dug a quick hole, did business, then covered it. If this guy crapped in his mess kit, then I think he was a gullible victim of his friends twisted sense of humor! Rolling Eyes
