I am glad we can kinda talk openly about this now. Lets all make a pact nodt to let our answers start a fight, I know we are gonna defend our own answers to a point but I think it would be wise to not cram our answer down anothers throat. This isnt for any certain person but I can see how it could get ugly later on. Do you agree?

Besides being a two-time National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) Open World Champion in 1974 and 1976, MR SAN PEPPY also won the AQHA World Cutting Championship in 1976, becoming the first horse ever to win both titles in the same year.

Among other honors, in 1977, PEPPY SAN BADGER won the NCHA Futurity. He followed that with a win in the NCHA Derby in 1978. In 1980, Little Peppy was also inducted into the NCHA Hall of Fame. He topped off his victories by being named the 1980 Reserve World Champion and winning the Open Division of the 1981 NCHA Finals.

Yes, I agree.
I just would like thoughts.
The contest is over and we won't ever know what Marlboro or Blair was thinking. No, there's no reason to fight

I could be quiet again....

It all depends how each of us interpreted the questions. After I had found "Assault" I stopped looking at this question. Had I spent more time exploring the King Ranch site I probabaly would have found something about "San Peppy" which would have made me even more crazy than I am now. All that said I'm satisfied with my answer.

Nah, I got it from the king website, trying to figure out how tricky those question people are. Did you see my post from earlier, where I cut and paste the horses descriptions?

How's the leg?

Look at the bright side, we will get to do this again next year. And we will know what kind of sneaky S.O.B.'s write these questions.

angel, unc and coon

I came on last night with horse and witty. I admitted to lurking since the beginning. I know the rules of the forum. Horse delcared open season on me. I know it's weird for me to show up now and talk but I guess I have more time now. I finished the job I've been working and the contest and have time to yak. And I'd love to discuss the answers. Last night I thought was the night for the midnight deadline so's we could all talk. But no, I was wrong. Trying to wait patiently for tonight. Though I think everyone really would have had to fedex it by now.

Don't mean to freak anyone out.
Or be a creepy newby

Hello all! I'm a newbie to posting, but have been here "lurking" since the beginning. My team forbid me from posting. (Like they were doing ANY of the work or something...) I'm still not allowed to post all of our answers. They're still worried about the rules. "Just in case..." they say. MEN! Anyways, I'm female, 32, single mom of three kiddos- 13, 10, 7.

I miss Momma and surprisingly someone who hasn't been around since he got his last answers, desertrat...

I AM allowed to post the ones that I KNOW that I haven't seen anyone with the same answer, YET. I just can't post the answer...just the clues that led us to the answer. I know the game is over and this is stupid, but maybe I can talk them into letting me post the answer.

#29. We gave the coordinates (not latitude and longitude) and used the negative symbol to indicate "west" as DL BLair didn't provide an area for North or West. (North and East are considered positives and South and West are considered negatives.)

#48. We did NOT get Rainbow Bridge or anything with Rainbow in it. In Colorado, there's a place with a rainbow arch, bridge arch, and east rim arch (the picture). The name of this place has nothing to do with what is actually there, so that's what we put down for our answer. Not to mention that Rainbow Bridge actually has water underneath it.

#58. Not Telluride. We searched for a slide guitar festival- "no need to fret" that lasted three days with blues and micro brews. The one we found had a previous headliner named Honeyboy- "you're honey done left?" The festival we found is also held at the Eaves Movie Ranch in NM.

#61. We researched individual state monuments and found the one with the sleeping princess legend that's also a hole in the ground.

#75. It's one of the Wonders of the U.S. We researched the names of these and found our answer.

However, after ALL of the research I did, we STILL put down the slightly wrong answer for #99. LOL. And we still don't know if they're correct or not. (There are 21 that I'm not 100% on. And of those, 4 that we just guessed on, including the hard ones, 40, 43, 44.) We just know what answers are incorrect due to the searching. I sincerely hope no one put down Larimer County Fair for #2 considering they didn't even have Rocky Mountain Oysters until July of this past year.

So many times I wanted to post and say-"Nooooo...I think you're going in the wrong direction with that one....." but alas, the testosterone triplets overruled me.

Our license plate- WNDWSDN- No need to stop for "gas" as the guys "brew" their own. The drawback is we'll definately need the WINDOWS DOWN!
I was overruled on this. I wanted to go with this license plate- "WEEEEE!"

Howdy Leo, come on out of the shadows. Nothing personal but I've got to run. The night shift shows up later so stick around. I'll talk with you later.

No prob, uncle. (Why do I feel like I've been transported to the movie "Enemy Mine"?) I can't tell you how many times I also just wanted to make one post that said, "But REALLY! I'm not lurking for answers! I'm lurking for the entertainment value!" Many times I'd check in just to see how everyone was doing...and hoping they weren't posting answers...or if they were, they were the wrong ones...heh. (On purpose, of course..)

I ALMOST, I mean I came within a breath, of creating a yahoo group for members only and inviting the people here to over there for clue discussions. I even copied down the email addys for invitations. (On the down-low without my team knowing...)

For the longest time in the beginning, I thought horse was a guy...lol. No offense horsey, it's the miraculous world of the internet!

Also, did anyone think that the things in the book had something to do with helping to find the answers? If I had more time, then I might have been able to figure it out, but I think the "arrows" around the clues had something to do with it, along with the map keys on each of the pages. The "arrows" remind me of old directional guides that you'd see at a crossroads. You know, "<that> this way to such and such." Not to mention that they were of different sizes and colors. And the two pages with just words, no clues..."A man on foot is just a man", "Drive until the map runs out." Etc. And on the DVD, the guys license plate said "35 JM" and the clock in the hotel room went from 8:08 to 8: 6.

And then again, maybe I'm just on crack.
