You know I will just talk to myself anyway. This friend (what few I have) called for a reason. Nothing to do with the contest. I told this person about the contest and explained the problem I was having with just figuring out what the clue wanted by using the word "it". They were actually excited and said of course they would help, no problem. I told this person the problem I have been having is when the clue asks to "give us its name" or "give us the name" or "what is its name" I did not know what "its" was referring to. This person was so enthusiastic about helping me that they broke down the language structure of the sentence and asked me what I had for an answer and then told me what "its" in the sentence was referring to. They made it sound so simple. That is why they have a Masters Degree in English and I have a Bachelors Degree in Law and Justice. So, after spending about four hours on the phone with me today and telling me what the clues were asking for when using the word "its" I told them if (big if) my team were to win the grand prize I promise that each team member would gift them $22,000.00. I would type up a document for the 4 team members to sign promising to gift this person $22,000.00 ($22,000.00 x 4 team members = gift of $88,000.00).
This money would be tax free to the recipient (the friend) but the gift tax return would have to be filed (4 of them). I can do that and then charge my friend for doing the returns. I would claim the income and pay the tax. Then take the money and travel to Australia and donate it to the Australia Zoo home of the crocodile hunter and give it to Bindi his daughter who was so impressive in her speech at her dad's memorial service. Is there an easier way to do the gift splitting and not even file, yes. But, I don't care. There is always a reason for me being the nut that I am so that is the way I would do it. So, I have lots of homework this weekend to finish the contest and type up this document and get it signed by all my team members. What if they do not agree to sign. Well being that I am the Team Captain, I will not send in the answer sheet.
