This is my first attempt. Never heard of it before this year and I've been a customer for too many years.

I sincerely hope you do get to go...have you been to the ranch before? ...Me? Nope ...I'm hoping this is my chance

OWTW4. The questions will be different, but the process and mindset at DL Blair probably won't change. They are very devious!

did any of you play OWTW1 or 2

I did, answered all 100 and then was notified that i was disqualified. The couple that we met on the ranch put us on there team but they each got a book and put us down twice... In other words he put himself and his wife and me and my wife on his team. She did the same on her team and you cannot appear on 2 teams...

I did OWTW2...didn't know about the first one...didn't win not a D#%^ thing except maybe a touch of infozema...but to be honest I didn't even notice until I got the mailing for this one, I actually forgot about it, but the first time I didn't participate in a board, actually I don't remember coming across one like this the first time...so I have a feeling this one won't be so hard to forget
My wife got a packet in the mail just before her birthday in 2002 and it said Happy Birthday you are going to the Marlboro Ranch. We went in the winter and it was the most fun i have ever had in my life....
I've got mine on a word document so it should be easy to post. I wonder if Marlboro will post the correct answers some time in the future?
How's your leg Coon?

Oh its gettin better thanks for asking. I have never seen marlboro post the answers but alot of teams posted there answers afterwards and we later found out that team 16 won so i was able to compare with theres...
We entered OWTW2, all of our team members got Swiss Army pocket watches. We assumed that they were prizes for the contest.
All I ever got for my birthday from Marlboro were coupons.

Unkie ... they won't. From last years winner (Brainfried) they only told them how many they won by. Their team never knew how many they got correct. Don't expect that to change this year.

We got a dart board that was left over in there gifts that they sent us. She got a ash tray this year for her birthday...
I've gotten coupons for $ off last year and an ashtray this year. I'm feelin' a little left out here.

I usually get some pretty neat things for my birthday...once a watch...once an ashtray...once a pop opener...if I keep going I'm going to tell my age

...I've been invited to the races several times and was invited to the ranch once a few (maybe a little more) years ago but didn't have noone to go with me

...plus my baby was practically newborn.
The only problem I can see with checking against answers posted by others is that a lot of people are looking at the same forums and brainstorming together, and some ( a lot?) could be led to an incorrect answer. So even if 20 people post the same answer we'll really never know if it is correct. But we can take comfort in the fact that we all have had the same answer. Does this make sense?
My son has gotten tickets to the races at Richmond Int'l for the past 3 or 4 years, but the race always seems to fall at the same time we go to the shore for vacation.

Yes it does. But, a bigger factor is our own mental biases. Heck others have given me ideas that they believed were 100% but they didn't measure up in my mind. Then there are times when I know I'm spot on and others can't follow my logic trail. Alot like real life ...
The problem I have, is I will find what I think is the correct answer, and instead of moving on I'll keep digging for a better answer. 9 times out of 10 I will use my original answer.
Same here. I've used the forum and one like it as a start point for ideas. Then research. Not all the answers are available on the internet ... book work and personal experience helped here. Lived and traveled all over the West. I still remember our family summer trips in the late 50's early 60's on old route 66. We also visited most of the National and State Parks ... but the down side to getting old is the memory loss ... now what was I going to say?
I do a lot of travelling as part of my job, so I read alot. All different sorts of things, magazine & newspapers, novels biographies, and when I stay in hotels I watch to much TV. Mostly History Channel ( I love Wild West Tech ), Discover Channel and Travel Channel. So I think that I might have seen or read something about many of the clues, but I cannot remember.
Hey Unkie ... notice that since the ladies left, we've pulled our minds out of the gutter and are discussing some deeply philosophical aspects to this contest and the human psyche? Why don't we do that when they are around? btw that's a rhetorical question!
Nah, All this intellectual talk is giving me a headache. Lets go back to the gutter and see if anyone comes back on.
