Well, I've never been affected by any Hitchcock film to the point of tears, except when perhaps Scotty first sees the made-over Madelein in "Vertigo." "Spellbound" is also notable for the sountrack utilizing the Theriman (and electronic musical device also used in 'The Day the Earth Stood Still." There's an entire documentary on the instrument. The outstanding part of "Spellbound" is the Salividor Dali designed dreams sequence.
You're, of course, talking about the new film about a Spelling Bee! So solly (I was PM'd that I had hastily assumed it was the old Hitchcock flick!)
yes - the spelling bee one - although having a dream sequence in it would have been a great plot addition!
