also, by the time Joe Lunchbox gets older he realizes the number one rule... no matter who's in charge the little guy is f*cked.... so why bother expending the energy to hit the streets?

Can't say I see much evidence of that here in Oz. A large percentage of our youth seem to be arch-conservatives, politically - which I put down to a concentration of media ownership, the denigration of education and a culture of wilful ignorance perpetuated and embodied by our current leadership

The fertility rate in Iraq is over double that in the U.S. Duh, more children lower the median age.

Are there any stats on what it was before GW bombed them?

It could also mean high birth rates as more babies lower the median age of the population. One 50-year old with two 1-year-old babies would come to 37
