Restart?

I installed the program for a wireless mouse but had to close down the computer before the final restart phase. The mouse works fine but now every time I start the computer I get the message:

You need to restart before completing the update. Do you want to restart now?

I can click on no and the message goes away and start up continues normally. If I click yes the unit restarts but at the end of the process the same message appears. No matter how many times I restart the message continues to pop up. It´s only one extra click of course so not a big inconvenience but can do something to stop it from appearing?

One approach which may well work is to uninstall the mouse driver and then re-install it.

It seems possible that the present installation did not quite finish properly.
