Can someone tell me how to disable an LDAP account in NS Directory Server?

Have you tried managing the password and account lockout policies?

For my own reference and in case anyone else cares:

# /var/opt/netscape/servers/startconsole

cn=Directory Manager
pw=[enter password here]

Select the "Directory" tab, then expand "net" in the menu at left, then select "People".

Right click on the user in question. Select "Properties". In the popup window, select "Account", then "Inactivate" then "OK".

You can reactivate the account the same way. Obviously only good for existing accounts.
