I have a kodak c340 easyshare digital camera. Ive had it for just over a year and have been using the easyshare software to download the pictures which has been working fine until now. When i try to download the pictures, i get a message saying 'cannot get the device information'. Ive unistalled the easyshare software in the hope that my computer will read the camera on its own ( Im using windows xp). Now when i plug in the camera i get a box saying the camera is connected and to select a program to launch it in. However, there are no programs in the box for me to select and i doesnt let you type anything in. so now im completely stuck, any ideas?!

This happened to me and I had to uninstall the easy share software and then reinstall it. But I don't like Kodak's software, so I got a memory card reader. They are only about $20 or less.

I suggest you disconnect your camera, reboot your machine, reinstall the EasyShare software, reboot again, then connect your camera.
