THE GLAMOUROUS SUN

I'm running free.
I'm holding sunlight
in the palms
of my hands.

I cannot be caught.
What follows behind,
I am faster than.

I am not afraid.
I like living just
beyond the edge.

Slowly, I am
finding my way.
I am at an
euphoric peace.

I am thriving under
the glorious rays
of this magnificent
glowing sun.

Nothing can erase
the freedom I feel
deep inside my soul.

The glamourous sun,
shines down,
moistening my warm skin.
I'm sunkissed by the
beauty of calm.

My body is electrified.
I am elated inside.
I drink in every sunray.

I pray,
I will always
feel this way,
happy and alive,
as I thrive under
the glamourous sun.

Hi Raveneye,
This poem really touched me, because I recognise those feelings you write about, and I miss the sun lately. I like the way you describe the sun as "glamorous", to me that is unique. Thank you for posting this, I really enjoyed it. I only wish I had something more constructive to tell you, I guess that means you are perfect! Maybe it means I just don't know enough to be critiquing poems!
