Pound attacks Warne's 2003 drug testing

World Anti-Doping Agency chief Dick Pound has launched a scathing attack on cricketer Shane Warne and Australian authorities' handling of his positive drugs test in 2003, a British newspaper reported.
The age

I'm with you on this Dick. There is no excuse for elite sportsmen and women who "inadvertantly" take masking agents.

Hoggard gives England hope

Scores at Stumps on the third day of the second Ashes cricket Test between England and Australia at the Adelaide Oval.

England 1st innings 6(dec)-551

Australia
Five wickets for 312

Fall: 8 (Langer), 35 (Hayden), 65 (Martyn), 257 (Ponting), 286 (Hussey).

Bowling: M Hoggard 27-2-76-4, A Flintoff 22-4-74-1 (5nb), S Harmison 13-4-46-0 (2nb), J Anderson 14-2-49-0, A Giles 16-2-45-0, K Pietersen 5-0-20-0.
Overs: 97

Australia requires another 40 runs to avoid the follow-on.

There was also a case of what could have been for England, as Ashley Giles dropped Ponting - off Hoggard's bowling - when the Australian skipper was on 35 and Australia was 3-78.
Giles got both hands to a catchable chance at deep square leg but spilled it.
I havn't seen vision yet to see just how catchable it was but as they say dropped catches lose matches.

Punter says we can win this one. (Adelaide)

If the Australian selectors had the guts Warne, Mcgrath and Langer would get a rest in Perth.
They should be rested if Oz wins in Adelaide.
The wacca wicket has flattend a little and won't provide much assistance to MGrath

repalcements

Mitchell Johnson tearaway quickie

Stewie Mcgill offie, perenial bridesmaid to Warne, and all around Mr Nice Guy

Shane Watson all rounder

Oz heading towards a win in Adelaide. If they get it, the Ashes are as good as over. The Poms will be completely demoralised. And once more, Warnie has tied them in knots.

What a WIN

That's the most amazing test I've ever seen. The Ashes will be coming home now. The Aussies are on a complete high, and the English have been completely demoralised. They'll be lucky to even turn up for Perth.

It was bizarre that England lost that one. It's the highest declared first bat first innings total that has ever lost a test match.

They should have batted quicker on day one - conditions were perfect for them.

They say Les Burdett prepares his pitches so that the match will be won in the last hour of the last day.

I'm with Peter Roebuck - I don't do predictions any more. That should have been a draw. Full credit to the Aussies - damn amazing.

We're just teasing Mctag.

We dont want your blokes to go home in disgust so we're letting you in for a bit of false hope.

If your bowlers can get something out of the wacca pitch Imagine what Mcgrath will be like.

Nice one, Prince.

The selectors ought to be taken out and shot.

Okay, game on.

Shame your creaky old pace attack has had a night's rest now.

Might get a few more quickish overs out of 'em.

If I wasn't laughing so much, I could think of a suitable comeback.

You're on form today, G.
