Whats a good computer need to have nowadays?

Our computer can't handle us downloading videos we take of the family, so we're in the market for a new laptop. We had enough space, but not enough memory for any .avi videos we made. We want something that can handle all the small video editing too.

Any experts on here that know what we should be looking at getting?

How much are we looking to spend too? We'll be purchasing through Dell. Want it to at least have word, excel, and powerpoint. And a DVD burner.

Welcome back, Jo.

I don't know, either. Mine is 4 years old, and they all have more than mine. With the videos, though, I'm guessing you might want to lean towards one with higher memory, rather than less.

You just wait. Somebody that knows is bound to come along.

What do or don't I need. I need something that can store lots of videos, pictures, and do video editing. Am I missing something? I want a DVD burner included.

nevermind, but thanks to anyone who bothered reading this thread. I bought something similar (just had a few more things on it) to the one above. I hope it was a good purchase. Smile
