Fitness Boot camp?

Ok, bear with me.

I've always had this secret longing to go to Boot Camp. I don't want to join the Army - but I'd like to experience a boot camp sort of experience.

Is there anything like this available that you know of, and/or have you tried something like this? What was it and how did it go?
I have looked into only in passing, but haven't found anything' round here yet that quite nails what I am looking for.

Outdoor program, preferably.
Come out the experience in strong shape.
Would like to learn to shoot a handgun, if I could, in the process.
Would be willing to try pretty near any activity that would challenge and push my boundaries.
